Yes. Any individual or company can apply for a .ma domain, but if you are not established in Morocco you must appoint an administrative contact or representative based in Morocco. The .ma zone is managed by ANRT, the national telecoms regulator, and registrations go through an accredited registrar. Register the domain in your company’s name, never the agency’s.
If your customers are in Morocco, a .ma address tells them straight away that you operate here, and it is a useful local signal for searches made from Morocco. If you also sell abroad, register both and redirect one to the other. Holding both also stops someone else from taking your name.
You accept the .ma naming charter and its dispute procedure, the name must not be on the list of reserved terms, and your details are published in the WHOIS. A name that sits too close to an existing trademark can be challenged, so check before you build a brand around it.
Pick something short that is easy to say in French and Arabic over the phone. Turn on auto-renewal: an expired domain takes your website and your email down on the same day. Keep the registrar login yourself, or at least a copy of the registration details.
Once you hold the domain, use it for email: contact@yourcompany.ma looks far more credible than a Gmail address when you write to a company or a public office. Ask for SPF and DKIM records to be set up, or your quotes may land in spam. It sounds technical, but it decides whether your messages arrive.
