WhatsApp Business is excellent for answering customers and closing sales, but it does not make you visible on Google: people who do not already know you will not find you there. A website brings in new customers from search; WhatsApp carries on the conversation. Most Moroccan businesses need both, linked together.
The app is free. You get a business profile with hours and address, a product catalogue, quick replies and an away message. For a small shop in Kenitra or Tetouan selling to people who already know it, that is enough to keep orders organised.
A WhatsApp catalogue does not show up in Google results. Nobody searching for “pâtisserie Casablanca” lands on it. Conversations get buried, and if the number is banned or changes, the customer history goes with it. Your website is the address that stays put.
Put a WhatsApp button on every page of the site, with a pre-filled message such as “Hello, I’d like to ask about…”. In an online store, customers place the order on the site and you confirm it on WhatsApp before shipping. New customers come from Google; trust comes from the direct conversation.
Do not send bulk messages to people who did not ask for them: if enough recipients block or report you, WhatsApp can ban the number. Do not leave customers waiting all day; if you cannot reply, set an away message that says when you will. Use labels to track orders, such as new, awaiting payment, shipped and delivered. And once orders pile up every day, look at the WhatsApp Business Platform connected to your site.
